A Few "Firsts"

Kate's first week home included some special first moments in her life.

First Doctors Appointment: On Monday June 9th, Kate had her first outing for her 2-day old doctor appointment with her pediatrician, Dr. DiMundo. She cried the whole way there, but once we got her in an exam room, she discovered a mirror for the first time and was completely fascinated by what she saw.

My milk supply was still slowly coming in, so Dr. DiMundo recommended that we supplement with a few ounces of formula. Kate guzzled a bottle down in the exam room and this was the result:

First Walk: We timed it right and Kate slept through her first late afternoon walk around the block in her stroller with Otter by her side.

First Baths: Kate's first baths at home were a learning curve for us all. This is the first one we got right and she wasn't crying by the time it was over. The difference was actually letting her sit in the tub of water, instead of holding her.

First Feet: And, these are just too cute not to post...the first pics of Kate's baby feet!

Steve waited a few days to take these pictures. We joked that he was waiting to take her "tag" off  in case we needed to return her.
